For admission to the Master of Science in Micro- and Nanotechnologies (MSc MNT), the successful completion of a Bachelor's or comparable course of at least six semesters or 180 credit points is required. The MSc MNT builds upon Bachelor's degrees in the following fields:
electrical and communications engineering
mechatronics
technical physics
material science
mechanical engineering
In addition, the applicants need a good background in the following subjects:
fundamentals of electrical engineering
electronics/microelectronics
semiconductor physics
fundamentals of mechanical engineering
material science
physics, chemistry, and higher mathematics
The Master’s program requires specific knowledge in the following fields:
1. Basics in materials engineering.
2. Higher mathematics.
3. Experimental physics/theoretical physics/solid-state physics.
4. Basics of electrical engineering.
5. Basic mechanics/engineering mechanics/mechatronics.
