degree at the time of application are provisionally eligible to apply if they have obtained at least
150 credit points and it is to be expected that they will complete the bachelor's or equivalent degree by

bachelor's degree in economic geography or in a suitable previous degree programme with at least - 10 CP in the area of economics and management; that includes principles of business administration and principles of economics. - 5 CP in the area of statistics; that includes descriptive, inferential and explorative statistics.
In addition, applicants must provide evidence of a total of at least 30 ECTS CP in the areas of economic geography (which includes, inter alia, fundamentals of economic geography, economic geography: theoretical foundations, spatial economic policy, applied topics of economic geography, economics and statistic

Letter of motivation (max. 500 words)
Final grade of the Bachelor's programme
Proof of sufficient English language skills (C1 equivalent).
This must be presented to the University of Groningen by May 1 of the year in which the stay there begins.
Please note
Foreign students who have not already obtained an educational degree in Germany, in German, must already provide proof of a B2 equivalent in German when applying for the Master in Economic Geography in Hannover.
a) the certificate of results (Zeugnis) for the bachelor’s degree programme or – if this is not yet available – confirmation of completed coursework and assessments, credit points, as well as the average mark,
b) curriculum vitae,
c) evidence as per section 2 paragraph 3
d) a list of credits as per appendix 1
e) as appropriate, evidence about the criteria concerning grade improvement in section 4 paragraph 2.

Tuition fees for the second year in Groningen: €2,600 (EU) or €21,400 (non-EU).
In the first year of study, you pay the semester fee at LUH, totalling about €400-500 per semester. The semester fee includes a ticket that allows you to use all public transport in the Hannover metropolitan area free of charge. In addition, you can travel throughout Lower Saxony and as far as some cities in neighboring federal states on local trains.
In the second year of study, you can take a leave of absence from LUH and thus pay no semester fee in Hannover. In Groningen, the fee of about €1,100 per semester (for EU citizens). Non-EU citizens pay about €8,000 per semester.
