1. Evidence of a minimum of 20 ECTS credits of study modules in Economics and / or Mathematics and/or Statistics from the
above mentioned Bachelor Degree (cannot be obtained later)
2. Evidence of achieved 180 ECTS credits out of a minimum of six theoretical semesters of a bachelor’s degree or diploma
program is required.
Please note: If you have obtained less than 210 ECTS but a minimum of 180 ECTS you will have to realize the missing ECTS during your master studies prior to the third semester by conducting a 20-week full-time internship.
Prerequisites
To apply for the program you have to meet the following requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree certificate and transcript from your business administration studies (or a related discipline). A final mark of “good” or better, German grade: 2.59 or better is required.
- Evidence of achieved 210 ECTS credits of a bachelor’s degree with at least six theoretical semesters. If you have less than 210 ECTS but a minimum of 180 ECTS, the missing 30 credit points must be successfully completed/proven within 12 months of starting the Master's degree program (see [information sheet](https://mediapool.hm.edu/media/fk10/fk10_lokal/relaunch_3...)).
- NEW from 2026 _(subject to committee decision)_: Evidence of a minimum of 10 ECTS credits of study modules maths and/or economics
- Good knowledge of English B2 level: Competence language level “B2” established by the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages is necessary, as modules are taught in English. No evidence is needed.
- Aptitude Test with proven record of success (upon invitation in July, ususally one week in advance, please check your spam inbox)
- If you have a foreign Bachelor degree, you need to upload a VPD issued for our university from uni-assist . Make sure to apply to uni-assist early (until 31.3.) due to the processing time. (Also see our [FAQs](https://hmbs.hm.edu/studieninteressierte/masterbetriebswi...) )
- If you have a university degree from outside the EU, you must have passed the GMAT, which is sent directly to us. (there is no minimum score)
Please apply to uni-assist with the required documents by March 31 at the latest, as the preliminary examination takes at least 6-8 weeks.

Additional fee information
There are currently no tuition fees for the Master Programme. However, all students are required to pay two components of administrative fees per semester: The basic fee of 75 Euro and an (obligatory) additional fee of 67,40 Euro (72 Euro from summer semester 2022) for the six-month public transport student ticket ("Semesterticket") of the MVV = Münchner Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund.
