What you need to apply for Master of Science in Chemistry at Ruhr University Bochum (RUB)
completion of your first degree program in English (this means that ALL lectures must have been held in English)
1. TOEFL: minimum score paper-based 550, computer-based 215, internet-based 79; the TOEFL score must not be older than two years.
2. IELTS: minimum score 6.0
the next application period starts in December 2020 and admits student to the Chemistry Master Courses beginning in Summer Semester 2021

Students applying for the Master of Science in Chemistry must have
1. a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from a German university
2. OR an equivalent Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from a foreign university. Equivalence is determined by the examination board
3. OR, injustified exceptional cases, an equivalent university degree in another naturalscience subject.
4. OR, in justified exceptional cases, an equivalent university degree in another natural science subject.
The language of instruction is English. You must provide proof that you have a solid command of English.
To be admitted to the programme, you must meet at least one of the following requirements:
All courses are taught in English. German language skills are therefore not required for admission to the programme. However, some previous knowledge of German is very helpful in everyday life and makes it much easier to interact with other RUB students. We therefore strongly recommend that you attend German language courses, preferably before you arrive in Germany. Ruhr-Universität Bochum offers free German courses for all levels every semester.
