How to apply
What you need to apply for European Economic Studies (EES) at University of Bamberg
No cut off
As courses are partly taught in German, applicants whose native tongue is not German need to certify their command of the German language through the "Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang ausländischer Studienbewerber (DSH)" (German language test for the university admission of foreign students). Alternatively, they can certify their command of the German language through the following:
A DSH certificate awarded by a "Studienkolleg" or another university
"Deutsches Sprachdiplom der Kultusministerkonferenz Stufe II"
The certificate of the "Zentrale Oberstufenprüfung (ZOP)" of the Goethe Institute
The certificate "Kleines Deutsches Sprachdiplom" or "Großes Deutsches Sprachdiplom" of the Goethe Institute
A TestDaF with level 4 in all parts
Prerequisite: The EES master’s degree programme features open admission, but you have to apply. Admission to the EES master's programme can be obtained both by graduates of the Bamberg EES bachelor's programme and by internal and external students who have completed another (domestic or foreign) degree programme in economics, the social or natural sciences, or mathematics. Beginning in the 2015/16 winter semester, applicants must verify a final mark of the German 2,5 or better!
Unfortunately, it is not possible to apply without a final marksheet. The application period for the summer semester will start in the middle of november 2020. I would recommend, that you apply then, with a final mark sheet and a provisional degree certificate.
especially in the areas of economics, statistics/econometrics and mathematics – is strongly recommended.

In the Master's program European Economic Studies (EES), an application is necessary. Admission to the Master's program EES requires a university degree or an equivalent national or international degree with an overall grade of at least "good" (German grade of 2.5 or better). The degree must be in a social, economics or natural science subject area or in mathematics.
The qualifying degree must contain a total of at least 18 ECTS credits from the fields of economics, mathematics or statistical methods (e.g. 12 ECTS credits in economics and 6 ECTS credits in mathematical methods).
English language skills at the B2 level must be demonstrated (e.g. IELTS 6.5, TOEFL min. 80 iBT, Cambridge FCE or TELC B2).
German language skills, on the other hand, do not have to be proven, but are of course an advantage for life in Bamberg/Germany.
If you do not have all the required documents at the time of application, you may be admitted on the condition that you submit missing documents, such as the bachelor's degree certificate, during the first master's semester. If missing documents are not submitted on time or a degree with an overall grade of 2.5 or better cannot be proven, the study program cannot be continued!
All information about the application process can be found on the pages of the [office of the registrar](https://www.uni-bamberg.de/en/studies/non-exchange-studen...).
