How to apply
What you need to apply for Economic Research at University of Cologne
If you have not completed your bachelor's degree, you must have earned at least 70% of the credit points and have completed the outstanding courses by September 30 at the latest.
Bachelor's degree (minimum grade 2.5) as well as fulfillment of subject-related and language requirements. The admission requirements are regulated in the current admission regulations, see "Important documents".
Application in the case of unfinished Bachelor studies: In cases where present Bachelor studies have not been fully completed, application is permitted if the candidate has earned at least 70 % of the required credits and will have achieved the remaining results by 30 September at the latest. The minimum grade as well as the subject-related and language requirements must already have been fulfilled on the basis of the exam results available at the time of application.
Applicants who do not have a German bachelor's degree must additionally submit a [preliminary review documentation (VPD) from uni-assist](https://my.uni-assist.de/). You can have your documents checked by uni-assist all year round, the VPD is not tied to an application semester.
Subject-related requirements
1. at least 36 ECTS in the fields of Business Administration and/or Economics
2. - from this 18 ECTS in the field of Economics
3. at least 15 ECTS in the fields of Statistics and/or Mathematics and/or Econometrics (only modules with mathematical and/or statistical methodological skills; pure (software) application skills are not accepted)
