What you need to apply for International MSc Programme for Experimental and Clinical Linguistics (IECL) at University of Potsdam
The master's degree program in Experimental and Clinical Linguistics recognizes the following certificates:
UNIcert: at least III
TOEFL Internet-Based Test: at least 95 points
Cambridge certificate of Advanced English: at least a grade of B
IELTS with at least 7.0 points and at least 6.5 points in each field
Certificate of a degree from an English-language degree program at an accredited institution of higher education
Certificate of a general higher education entrance qualification from an English-taught course of education and acquired in a country with English as official language

A first academic degree i.e., a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in a subject essential for the degree program in experimental cognitive sciences, or an academic degree in speech and language treatment, or an experimental degree program closely related to the field, with at least 180 CP of coursework.
(2) knowledge of experimental-empirical competences evidenced by at least:
(a) 6 credit points in statistics and / or quantitative research methods
(b) 12 credit points in the field of experimental cognitive science (psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, cognitive psychology, neuropsychology, developmental psychology, biopsychology).
General requirements for the IECL Master’s program are:
(1) a first professionally qualifying academic degree , e.g. a bachelor's degree in a subject/course of study in the experimental-empirical cognitive sciences or academic speech therapy that is essential for the course of study , or in an experimental-empirical course of study that is closely related to these subjects/courses, amounting to at least 180 credit points (CP) .
(2) Knowledge of experimental-empirical skills, demonstrated by
(a) 6 credits in statistics and/or quantitative research methods
(b) 12 credits in an area of experimental cognitive science (psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, cognitive psychology, neuropsychology, developmental psychology, biopsychology).

What to prepare for your application to International MSc Programme for Experimental and Clinical Linguistics (IECL)
Application documents
When applying for admission to a Master's program, you must upload the following documents in digital form as a PDF. Please upload each PDF with the relevant file name:
1. Proof of a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent first degree with your certificate , the corresponding transcript and the Diploma Supplement (if applicable) .
If your degree certificate does not clearly indicate the subject-specific entry requirements , please also submit confirmation of the modules you have completed and the credits you have earned (e.g. module performance overview, performance overview, transcript of records).
For an application without a formal degree, at least the following credit score must be proven at the time of application with a current transcript of records or confirmation of the current total credit score issued by the university:
at least 140 LP for Bachelor's degree programs with a scope of 180 LP
at least 170 credits for Bachelor’s degree programs with a total of 210 credits
at least 200 LP for Bachelor's degree programs with a scope of 240 LP
2. Evidence of the content and structure of your academic education. This could be, for example, module catalogues, study and examination regulations or a syllabus.
3. If applicable, preliminary examination documentation (VPD) from uni-assist eV .
If you submit an academic degree or academic certificates from a foreign university , you must also upload a document about the assessment of the degree as a master's entrance qualification (pre-examination documentation - VPD) via the study place portal. Applying for a VPD does not constitute an application. Allow sufficient time to apply for a VPD; the average processing time at uni-assist is 4 to 6 weeks.
The VPD must be submitted via the study place portal by the application deadline.
If you wish to apply with a degree from a recognized university in the countries of the People's Republic of China, Vietnam and India, you must submit the relevant APS certificate with your application documents in addition to the VPD.
4. If necessary, translations by a sworn translator
If your academic certificates were issued in a language other than German or English, you must also upload a translation of these documents by a sworn translator via the study place portal.
5. If applicable, placement notice for the first semester or requested higher semesters from the examination board appointed for the course , as well as documents providing complete evidence of all previous study periods, specifying the course and semesters (e.g. course progress certificates, study certificates or de-registration certificate).

6. A current and complete CV in tabular form from the age of 16 with complete details of your study periods. This includes your ongoing, discontinued and formally completed study periods.
7. If applicable, evidence of a change of name (e.g. a copy of the certificate of name change).
