Trier University, also known as Hochschule Trier, is a public research university located in Trier, Germany. # Admission Requirements
# Applicants with Bachelor from India
In order to fulfil the formal admission requirements for admission to a master course at Trier University, applicants who have completed a Bachelor in India must provide all of the following documents by the end of the respective [application deadline](https://www.uni-trier.de/en/studies/counselling-services/service-information/key-dates/current-application-dates) (usually May 31st for winter semester / January 15th for summer semester):
If only a 3-year Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts (without any specialisation) has been completed, no admission can be granted.
Admissions office checks all documents. If one of the above listed proofs is missing, the application will not be processed.
Once the formal admission requirements have been met, the application is forwarded to the respective examination board for the check on the faculty requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Political Science (major or minor) or in Social Sciences with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 2.7 according to the [German grading system](http://meeag.uni-trier.de/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Freq...).
2. Political Science and related courses at the undergraduate level must add up to at least 60 ECTS. See the [FAQ ](http://meeag.uni-trier.de/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Freq...)for more information about ECTS and for what qualifies as a political science course.
1. Trier University charges a fee of 70.00€ to process your application. More information on the processing fee and exemptions can be found [here](https://www.uni-trier.de/en/studium/zielgruppen/studienbe...). The application will only be processed when the fee has been verifiably transferred to the university’s account and all required documents have been submitted. The University’s bank details and the procedure to provide proof of the bank transfer can be found on the pages of the [Admissions Office](https://www.uni-trier.de/index.php?id=50869&L=2).
What to prepare for your application to Master of Arts in European and East Asian Governance
Chose the ETM you want to apply to and follow the steps in PORTA. You will need to upload the following documents (pdf only) – therefore keep them prepared (Checklist Application ETMs):
University Entrance Qualification (HZB) – in most cases the diploma of your secondary school
Master entrance qualification – in most cases your bachelor certificate including subject and grade overview (diploma supplement including overall GPA). If you have not yet concluded your bachelor:
Transcript of records including overall GPA
If your diploma supplement or transcript of records does not include an overall GPA: Other official document stating your overall cumulative GPA
Proof of payment of the evaluation fee
Scan or photo of your identity card or passport
Proof of English language proficiency
Statement concerning studies at previously attended universities, abroad or in Germany
Tabular resume (gap free)
