All application materials have to be completed in English. The following documents are required:

Bachelor's degree certificate or equivalent diploma (copy and authorised translation in English)

Bachelor's degree transcript of records (copy and authorised translation in English)

Confirmation that you have written a B.A. thesis with the topic indicated (title page of your Thesis is sufficient)

Curriculum vitae (in a tabular format)

Photo (passport type)

Letter of motivation (max. 1000 words)

Scan of your passport

Additional documents in support of your application (optional)

• Letters of recommendation
• Awards
• Pdf of your B.A. thesis (if in English)
• List of your publications with some samples of your writing (if in English)
• List of your social/political/ecumenical/religious volunteering or charity work

Please submit your application by email: fill in the application form and questionnaire online (word- or pdffile), scan all other documents (jpg- or pdf-files) and send them as attachments in an email.

Please note that the scholarship committee will only consider complete applications!

A digital copy of your application should be sent to the email [email protected] with the title “application_ICT_2025_SURNAME”.

All the PDF documents should be placed in the order listed above and attached as separate *.pdf files with a title composed as follows:

SURNAME_Bachelor degree

SURNAME_Bachelor transcript, etc.

All additional documents should be sent as one united *.pdf titled SURNAME_ Additional_documents.

Each application, therefore, must have at least 9 separate documents attached.

Applications that are not uploaded in full (including all mandatory documents with the required details of an overall grade or preliminary overall average grade), in due form or by the deadline will be excluded from further proceedings. After sending us the required documents, you will receive a confirmation via email when we have checked if application is complete and forwarded to the admission committee.

Currently, there are no tuition fees for international students at the University of Göttingen.
